Economic hardship, unexpected crises, and the rising cost of living create overwhelming challenges for individuals trying to provide for themselves and their loved ones. While assistance programs may offer food or housing support, many families still lack access to essential everyday items—such as clothing, hygiene products, and household supplies—that are crucial for stability and well-being.
For many, the painful choice between paying rent, buying groceries, or purchasing basic necessities is a daily struggle. Without these essential items, families face even greater difficulties. Parents worry about providing for their children, seniors struggle to maintain their independence, and individuals experiencing difficult times often feel an increasing sense of isolation and stress.

Our Mission
At Neighbors In Need, our mission is to provide assistance to low-income families and individuals in the Rio Grande Valley, ensuring that no one goes without life’s basic necessities.
We are committed to filling the gaps left by traditional assistance programs by offering new, everyday essentials—from hygiene products and household supplies to shoes and clothing. Through community-driven initiatives such as our mobile pantry, mini boutique, and Senior Smiles program, we strive to bring comfort, restore dignity, and uplift those facing hardship.
Beyond material support, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment within our community. We believe that no one should face life’s challenges alone, and through the power of collective generosity, we work to build a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our History
In 2022, Neighbors In Need was founded to provide support to low-income families throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Since then, we have donated thousands of pairs of shoes, clothing items, appliances, and essential everyday supplies to those in need. Our community has enjoyed thousands of hot meals and an abundance of new toys—shared with care during the Christmas season and year-round. Additionally, we provide support to the elderly by visiting and donating to hospice homes and assisted living centers across the Rio Grande Valley.
