When Jesus taught his disciples about loving one’s neighbor, He used these words in
Mt 25:40—

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Since 1998, Neighbors In Need Ministries has served the needy in the community of Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding area by providing food, emergency supplies and a prayer line. The ministry was founded and is directed by Jim and Joanna Faillace, who along with volunteers and supporters “reach out to those in need in the name of Jesus Christ.”

As a Christian ministry we are under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He blesses the ministry and we in turn are able to bless others. Often, as Jesus ministered to people, He first met their physical needs and then healed them spiritually. So too, as we meet the physical needs of others, we recognize that very often there are spiritual needs to be met as well. Our mission at Neighbors In Need is to bring people to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by reaching out and meeting their spiritual needs with love, prayer and Biblical guidance and meeting their physical needs with food and emergency relief.
